Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to be a member at fitness at five to do personal training sessions?

No, you do not have to be a member at fitness at five in order to do training sessions. You are welcome to join if you want to though. It is a great gym and many of my clients have decided to join to workout on days we are not meeting!

Do i need any gym expereince to begin training?

Absolutely not! We will start training off with an assessment to access where you are at and then build your training around your starting point, training goals, and how you are progressing over time towards your goals.

I have worked with everyone from 10 years of age to 78 years old.

How does nutritional coaching work?

Since I am not a registered dietician I can not give out specific meal plans or tell clients exactly what to eat.

We will start off by tracking your eating habits over the course of a week to get a general idea of your nutrition. I will then break it down and go over what changes could be made to help meet your goals. We will also track nutritional data overtime and go over common problems or issues seen when trying to lose or gain weight. We will also track consistency to help you understand what you can expect based off of consistency.

A large part of the coaching is also educational in terms of teaching about a wide variety of nutritional topics and nutritional needs to help you meet your goals.

How does online 1:1 training work?

Use technology such as zoom, whatsapp, facetime, etc to do the training session over a phone or computer. I typically use this option for clients that would like 1:1 training but do not live nearby Athens, Ga.

How is the training personalized for my goals?

We will start with an assessment to access strength, flexibility, endurance, screen for potential muscle imbalances and then build your training or programming from their based on your specific goals for training. I will also track data over time to monitor progress and adjust training as needed.

I have worked with clients of all kinds of goals; Ex: sport specific training (Athletes), weight loss goals, body building or muscle gaining goals, powerlifting goals, general health and fitness improvement, and balance and strength training to reduce falls.

Will I have access to an exercise librbay?

Yes, if you are a past or present client you will have access to an online exercise library and videos covering many topics and frequently asked questions.
